She's the Cutest Thing I've Ever Seen!
As many of you know, a blessing of new life came into our family on January 21st. My sister Jenny gave birth to the most beautiful baby I have ever seen, Emily Catherine Stansfield. I may be biased, but look at her face... can you disagree? I am sorry it has taken me this long to post about her but she's just so wonderful that I really didn't want to share.
I have already got to spend time with her and I will get to again coming up in May, still it doesn't seem like enough. I am so glad my Sister and Brother-in-Law, Bret, love taking videos and pictures of her. It lets me see how fast she is growing.
On my last visit in March Emily and I were able to spend sometime together while the parents went out. It was much needed girl time for me. When she smiles and giggles it melts away any of the stress or anger I have and I cannot help but smile. It's a very welcome sort of therapy that I need at this time.
As the summer wears on I will get closer to the end of my contract date, August, and begin to prepare for my next step. Right now I am looking for potential jobs in Atlanta. This move will put me closer to Andrew. BONUS: Atlanta puts me closer to Emily, Jenny, and Bret! Hopefully I will get to see them more.
More and more these days I have been trying my hardest to focus on the good, and surprise surprise, it's working! I know that I have been Debbie Downer lately, sorry Mom - that's what she's called, but I think things may be looking up. So I want to send this thank you out to you in the cyber world. Thank you to those who have worked to keep a smile on my face, I promise the hard work is paying off. Thank you for believing in me and helping me get through this time. Thank you for pushing me to get outside and enjoy life. And to Emily - Thank you for learning how to smile. Your Aunt Megan selfishly needed that. :)
Check out Emily's beautiful smile! Be sure to watch till the end!
